We provide confidential legal search services to our clients on various levels: whether it is a single attorney placement, a practice group move, or locating an entire law firm for combination purposes, we are dedicated to maintaining the quality and effectiveness of our recruiting services. Our services begin with either a client seeking an attorney employee or an attorney or group of attorneys seeking to combine with another practice. Our recruiting services are tailored to approach attorneys in a discreet and professional manner, and give them an informed and articulate analysis of how a particular client’s needs may fit their long term career goals.
Candidates are then interviewed and screened for skill, experience, and personal information. Only resumes which fit the client’s hiring or expansion criteria are submitted for review. We assist with scheduling interviews, making travel arrangements, forwarding all necessary documentation to the appropriate parties, and any other steps necessary to make the transition period run smoothly.
Stacy Miller Azcarate, Esq. founded Miller Sabino & Lee in 1999. Prior to entering the legal placement field, Stacy practiced real estate and corporate law in San Francisco. Upon leaving the practice of law she joined Special Counsel as the Executive Director of its Northern California offices. During her tenure with Special Counsel, Stacy managed the San Francisco office and opened the Palo Alto office.
As a preeminent recruiter and advisor in the legal placement field, Stacy has placed numerous large practice groups, facilitated firm mergers, opened branch offices and sourced hundreds of single attorney placements. She has authored articles that have appeared in California Lawyer Magazine and The Daily Journal. She has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Recorder, The National Law Journal, The American Lawyer, The Wall Street Journal Blog, Abovethelaw.com and GlassHammer.com. She frequently lectures and gives presentations on legal recruiting, professional development and the business of the legal profession.
Stacy is a member of the California Bar, the American Bar Association and the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC). She is the current President of the Board of Counselors of the University of San Francisco School of Law and serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of San Francisco. She is also the past President of the Lawyers’ Club of San Francisco and an Emeritus Board Member of the Marin Catholic High School Board of Regents.
Stacy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law. During law school she was a member of the Moot Court Board and a research assistant for the development of The Center for Law and Policy where she assisted in rewriting the Cambodian Civil Code. She also spent a summer clerking for the International Courts in The Hague. Stacy has traveled and worked extensively abroad in both the health and legal fields and speaks Spanish and French.
